When first was invented, the television was black and white without options for good or bad quality. Now all of this is changed, because we are able to choose between the more expensive and the cheaper, higher or lower quality, and so on. This is possible thanks to the fast-developed technologies in the last thirty years during which the television had at least three or four big jumps.
Antennas in the air broadcast the first conceivable television, which was without colored colors. After that, became conceivable the usage of cable and satellite transmitting. In the present days, the distributed analogue signals are now converted into digital ones. This new technology, possible by prolonged explorations of scientists, made revolutions in the television industry. There are people who are asking, why this new signal is better than the old one. Of course it is, because the data, which can be carried by the same media, used by the analogue signals, is 6 times more. That is only the beginning, because there is more. The information that is important and useful is not as huge as it is presented in the analogue technology. In the digital signal the redundant info is removed and instead of it are placed length of control check sums, which are codes for protecting the main signal from side disturbing signals. These side noises can be from close located cables, which aren’t well enough shielded, from bad weather conditions like big amount of moisture, snowfall or flood where the media is placed.
Regardless of the incessant battle, which is better the HDTV or DTV, we have to know that there is no difference between them. De-facto, the HDTV is subtype of the DTV, or just improved version of it. While the digital TV can attain only fine quality picture, its elaborated product, the so-called high definition television, can accomplish full high quality. May be, precisely for that reason both notions are juxtaposed and compared, because it is obvious that HDTV has big advantage to the digital television. However, what we should know is we don’t have the right to do this. The high definition signal is digital signal, but with more information inserted in it. Just there is more data in the same bandwidth in interest of better quality of the picture and sound. Indeed, without the digital TV the existence of the HDTV is impossible, because there isn’t any way to achieve this quality with another type of signal. Hence, we should stop distinct these allegedly different types of televisions, when we already know that the HDTV derives from the DTV. Then some can tell that the digital signal is obtained by the analogue one. However, this is different thesis for scrutinizing.
